Jimmy Rench, CFP®
Jimmy is the founder of Relevance Capital Management and was formerly co-founder and president of Rench & Muir Financial Advisors, Inc. At Relevance Capital, Jimmy is in charge of guiding the firm’s investment strategy and tactical decision-making process for clients’ investment accounts. In addition, on the strategic-planning side, Jimmy uses his 20-plus years of experience to assist clients as they navigate the critical, once-in-a-lifetime decision-making process surrounding retirement. Jimmy has been directly involved with advising clients and investing their retirement assets during both good and bad market environments, and this real-world experience and the perspective it brings is vital to his leadership role at Relevance Capital Management.
Jimmy has been a Certified Financial Planner™ since 1993 and is a past instructor for the Professional Development Institute of the University of North Texas, where he taught the comprehensive Case Studies class for those seeking the CFP® designation. Jimmy also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for North Texas Public Broadcasting, Inc., the company that owns KERA and KXT FM, Dallas-Fort Worth’s PBS and NPR affiliate stations. As a part of his role on the Board of Directors, Jimmy serves on the Investment Committee. Jimmy is also a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Jimmy has lived in the Denton area since childhood. He has been married to Shelley for forever, and they have three grown children, four granddaughters, and a grandson with whom they love to hang out. In his free time, Jimmy enjoys cycling, reading and going to Texas Rangers games.
