About Our Investment Firm

Jimmy Rench, CFP®

Jimmy is the founder of Relevance Capital Management and was formerly co-founder and president of Rench & Muir Financial Advisors, Inc.  At Relevance Capital, Jimmy is in charge of guiding the firm’s investment strategy and tactical decision-making process for clients’ investment accounts. In addition,  on the strategic-planning side, Jimmy uses his 20-plus years of experience to assist clients as they navigate the critical, once-in-a-lifetime decision-making process surrounding retirement. Jimmy has been directly involved with advising clients and investing their retirement assets during both good and bad market environments, and this real-world experience and the perspective it brings is vital to his leadership role at Relevance Capital Management.

Jimmy has been a Certified Financial Planner™ since 1993 and is a past instructor for the Professional Development Institute of the University of North Texas, where he taught the comprehensive Case Studies class for those seeking the CFP® designation. Jimmy also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for North Texas Public Broadcasting, Inc., the company that owns KERA and KXT FM, Dallas-Fort Worth’s PBS and NPR affiliate stations. As a part of his role on the Board of Directors, Jimmy serves on the Investment Committee.  Jimmy is also a member of the Financial Planning Association.

Jimmy has lived in the Denton area since childhood. He has been married to Shelley for forever, and they have three grown children, four granddaughters, and a grandson with whom they love to hang out. In his free time, Jimmy enjoys cycling, reading and going to Texas Rangers games.

Casey Rench, CFA, CFP®

Casey joined Relevance Capital Management in 2013 following a career as a corporate and tax attorney.

Casey graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He then earned his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law. Following law school, Casey worked as a tax attorney advising families and business owners on federal income tax matters and IRS audits. In 2010, he joined the Corporate and Securities department of a Dallas law firm where his practice focused on advising public and private companies and funds in connection with their tax, transactional and general business needs, including debt and equity placements, and mergers and acquisitions. At Relevance Capital, Casey is involved in all aspects of the firm’s investment, strategic- and tax-planning activities on behalf of its clients. Casey also serves as Relevance Capital’s Chief Compliance Officer.

Casey lives in Dallas and enjoys sports, live music, and spending time with his wife, Lauren, daughters, Ruby, Georgia, and Millie, and their Norfolk Terrier, Wesley.

Jordan Rench, CPA

Jordan joined Relevance Capital Management in 2018 following careers as an external auditor and a fund accountant.

Jordan completed the Professional Program at Texas A&M University, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Finance. He also passed the CPA examination prior to beginning his first career as an external auditor, where he gleaned experience in several industries, including energy, insurance, manufacturing, and software development. In 2012, he joined the Fund Accounting department of a global investment banking, securities and investment management firm, where he worked on the operational and reporting functions of various private equity and debt investment funds. At Relevance Capital, Jordan is involved in all aspects of the firm’s investment, strategic- and tax-planning activities on behalf of its clients.

Jordan lives in Dallas and enjoys golf, running, live music, and hanging out with his wife, Anna, and two kids, Grace and James.

Shelley Rench

Shelley is in charge of Relevance Capital Management’s client services.  With over 20 years’ experience and a love for people, she efficiently guides the logistics of our relationships.  Whether it’s scheduling an appointment, answering a question about an account, or acting as the liaison between clients’ other professional relationships, Shelley ensures client needs are met with maximum efficiency and warmth.

Shelley and Jimmy have three grown children, four granddaughters, and a grandson all of whom they love to spoil.  In her free time, Shelley enjoys reading, working out, traveling, gardening, going to Texas Rangers games, and volunteering in a tutoring ministry.
